This festival happens twice a year in Torbay in April and October of each year. It provides national touring artists, emerging local theatre makers and regional young people with an exciting platform to share work and to collaborate. The Doorstep Theatre Festival is made possible through the national Collaborative Touring Network, a partnership between Battersea Arts Centre and eight different producing teams based in Darlington, Gloucester, Hull, Medway, Peterborough, Thanet, Torbay and Wigan. Coming together with the joint aim of inspiring an entirely new generation of theatre-goers, the Collaborative Touring Network brings inspiring performance to audiences across England.
