East Van Sax Quartet - Return to the Garden

The East Van Sax Quartet is excited to be returning to Bowen Island after our first show in August 2024 at the lovely natural garden amphitheatre on the property of our hosts David and Aubin Van Berckel. We'll be presenting a mix of newly-minted material along with old favourites, in a genre-spanning show drawing from jazz, tango, pop and prog rock, classical, ragtime and more, all played with professional polish and an exuberant sense of fun! Featuring Mike Spindloe - soprano, Daniel Seguin - alto, Greg Kennedy - tenor and Topher Johnson- baritone.

The garden opens at 6:30 pm; concert begins at 7:00 pm, and will consist of two sets running approximately 90 minutes including a short intermission.

Please note that the natural terrain is uneven and good walking shoes are recommended. Audience seating is on grass/stone benches or lawn, please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on if you wish and any refreshments you might care to enjoy during the show. Entry to the amphitheatre is on the right side of the cul de sac at the end of Cates Hill Road, and there is parking available on the road.
