Engagement in Postsecondary Education
The Teaching Practices Colloquium (TPC) is a chance for TRU faculty to come together to share our knowledge and experience, and to learn with and from each other. This year, the central theme of the 2025 TRU Teaching Practices Colloquium is "Engagement in Postsecondary Education." Our keynote is Dr. Jon Dron. Jon Dron is a full professor and associate dean, learning and assessment at Athabasca University, Canada. He is a UK National Teaching Fellow. He is author of How Education Works: Teaching, Technology and Technique (2023), Teaching Crowds: Learning and Social Media (2014, with Terry Anderson), and Control and Constraint in E-Learning: Choosing When to Choose (2007), and over 150 published research articles. You can find out more about Jon and read his blog on his website, https://jondron.ca/
