Migrating Pedagogies, a feminist publishing project started in 2020, asks: Where does pedagogy happen and who is it for? Where has pedagogy always been and where has it been ignored?
To explore these questions, we are holding three online reading + writing workshops. In our first event, co-editor Allison Yasukawa will read from her Migrating Pedagogies pamphlet "On Secrecy" and facilitate a creative space for participants to compose their own creative nonfiction pieces about teaching and learning in our present times.
With writing prompts and poetic play, participants will have the opportunity to share their writing with each other, followed by a brief conversation that asks us to reflect on the power of writing about our teaching/learning lives. How can our stories help us to learn about teaching, teach about learning and dream into new ecologies for all?
Participants will receive a Zoom link right after registration.
This event is hosted by eohippus labs and supported in part by Poets & Writers. |
