Sales have ended for this event.

The International Crane Foundation works worldwide to conserve cranes and the ecosystems, watersheds, and flyways on which they depend.

This informative webinar will provide a brief overview of the International Crane Foundation's work and provide information on all 15 species of cranes with a focus the two Indiana species - the Whooping Crane and the Sandhill Crane. Participants will learn tips, tricks, and pointers for identifying these birds by sight and sound and also help to distinguish them from birds that often look very similar to cranes. Other topics include the history of Sandhill Cranes and Whooping Cranes, what contributed to their historic decline, and where they can be found today. The Whooping Crane Reintroduction Program will be discussed including the threats cranes continue to face and how you can help cranes in your own community.
