In this class, we delve into the different ways poets use formal poetics as a tool for our own craft. In an interactive discussion, participants can expect to learn about a variety of different forms to use as a tool. There will be time for generative writing, reading, and discussion. All levels of experience welcome!

Tuesday, January 12: The Ghazal Tuesday, February 16: The Sonnet/Anti-Sonnet Tuesday, March 16: The Villanelle Tuesday, April 13: The Duplex (created by Jericho Brown) Tuesday, May 18: The Triolet Tuesday, June 8: Haibun/Haiku
All classes 7-9pm CST. Cost is $20 per class or you can purchase the whole series for $100 or a 3-class pack for $50.

About L.K.: L.K. (they/them/theirs) is a queer, neurodivergent poet who has a penchant for formal poetics. They received their undergraduate from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. They have been published or forthcoming for publication in the West Review, Lullwater Review, the Wisconsin Historical Society Press, Defunkt Magazine, and elsewhere. |
