This engaging workshop teaches participants about the power of broadcast media for local community arts efforts.Participants will learn how to get station representatives to reply to press releases and announcements. The topics will go over how to be an effective communicator for live broadcast media. Participants will learn how to clearly articulate their topic, reply with more than "yes - no" answers, and how to loosen up when it comes to being interviewed on television and radio.

Gabby Urenda is a features editor with the Hillsboro and Forest Grove News-Times. She currently hosts a podcast highlighting various artists and events in Washington County.
