The setup: This is a monthly live advice show hosted by the Robin Theatre. Attendees will be given a note card when they enter. There will be a table with four fishbowls, each with a label like Dating & Relationships, Family Stuff, Work Related, etc. Attendees write down a question or situation they want advice on and drop it into one of the bowls.
The show: Host Ty Forquer and a panel of four members of the Greater Lansing community will work through the four fishbowls, randomly drawing cards and discussing the questions/situations. We certainly wont get through every question, but well try to get through a bunch. There will also be some mini-games and other diversions to break things up.
The show starts at 8 p.m., with doors open at 7:30 for mingling and filling out cards. We plan to keep the show under 75 minutes.
The charitable part: Each panelist will pick a charity to benefit. For each $10 ticket sold, $1 will go to each charity represented (with a minimum $50 donation to each charity). If 60 people show up, each charity gets $60, if 73 people show up, each charity gets $73. If the show sells out in pre-sale (80 tickets), each charity gets $100.
