This documentary by acclaimed filmmaker Helga Landauer is based on the extraordinary life of the late famous Russian Poet Anna Akhmatova. By the time Anna was 25, fate had grated her talent, beauty and fame. Then tragedies of her century intervened: arrests, executions, hardships, and revolutions. Anna emerged victorious, armed with her poetry that was too dangerous to commit to paper and survived only as memorized by a few close friends.
