You helped us make our Summer a resounding success with Before The People Came. Look forward to Black Nativity and the announcement of our 2010 Season.

A children's Choreo-poem for families of all ages that re-tells an African folktale about a group of animals who are dying of thirst on a desert plain. Rabbit discovers a tree of juicy pears that can save them all, only it is guarded by a vicious tiger. The animals must learn to put aside their differences and work together to save themselves. The play is targeted to pre-k children up to adults and utilizes costumes, dance, spoken word poetry, and jazzy blues music to rock the house and teach life lessons.

Keeping with ARTs tradition of utilizing all the skills and talents of its actors, including having them play multiple roles in certain shows, the play stars Jeff D. Boyet as Monkey and The Snakes, Elliot Robinson as Griot and Tiger, Shonka Durureh as Eagle and Owl, Aleta Myles as Rabbit and Giraffe, and Brett Wilson as Elephant and Tortoise.
