Come to the Root Note at 6 PM May 15th to watch local change makers answer questions about their work while eating progressively spicier and spicier chicken wings! The event ticket will include a night of entertainment, and 10 chicken wings prepared by the 2025 Wingapalooza winner Mia's Kitchen LLC, as well as one local hot sauce from The Nelson Brothers Hot Sauce and two sauces from Mia's Kitchen. Join us in raising money for two important local nonprofit organizations, Black Leaders Acquiring Collective Knowledge Inc., and 7 Rivers LGBTQ Connection: The Center.

The evening's host and interviewer will be the engaging Nevin Heard, Assistant Vice Chancellor - Access, Belonging & Compliance at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Nevin will interview 4 local community involved professionals, asking a series of questions about their work, while they eat progressively spicier chicken wings! As the wings get hotter and hotter the professionals will do their very best to share their knowledge and expertise with the crowd.

Tickets are now on sale for $25 dollars, and will be $30 the week of the event. You can buy tickets at the door as well. A vegan option will be available as well. This event is recommended for ages 16+. There is a cash bar at the event.
