The goal of the workshop is to get kids (5-12) into the modern, cool and affordable music instruments (Korg Kaoss Pad & Korg Kaossilator) and possibilities of the musical aspect of Nintendo DS game console with commercial music software (Electroplankton, Korg DS 10, Jam Session...). The portability of these battery operated instruments is the important feature and why are they chosen for the kids - they can bring them to schools, birthday parties, parks... History of the acoustic instruments used in school now can be mixed with the modern electronic sound, with instant sampling and processed singing.
Please bring your own Nintendo DS, Korg Kaossilator, Korg Kaoss Pad-Mini, or Korg Kaoss Pad 2 if you have one.
PLEASE NOTE: This workshop spans two days with the first day being the workshop and the second a performance of music made in the workshop. |
