Carl Buffalo Nichols challenges the boundaries of blues on The Fatalist, his second album, blending traditional sounds with modern sensibilities. With 808 drum programming, chopped Charley Patton samples, and atmospheric synths, Nichols crafts a soundscape that feels rooted in both the past and present. But this isnt a gimmick or simple modernization; its a deeply personal take on the blues, reflecting the complexities of modern life. Nichols lyrics delve into themes of love, identity, and moral ambiguity, all delivered with a raw, coiled intensity that keeps listeners on edge.

At the heart of The Fatalist is Nichols determination to break free from conventions, both musically and personally. His songwriting is dark and dramatic, full of tension and release, yet grounded in the blues tradition. Each track confronts difficult questions, like whether we have control over our lives or if were just playing out a predetermined fate. By refusing to follow the rules or settle for easy answers, Nichols reinvents the blues for today, making it as urgent and relevant as ever.

Doors are at 6pm (come early and enjoy wonderful Pop Pop beverages!) The show will start at 7pm when the sun goes down for maximum rock 'n roll vibes.
