Please join the Kehilla Chavurah for a Free Palestine for an educational program and light dinner on May 9 from 5-7 PM IN PERSON at Kehilla Synagogue. In the spirit of Kehilla's commitment to Antiracism, Justice and Liberation, we will hear from Palestinian speakers who will share their perspective on Israels ongoing dispossession of Palestinians from historic Palestine. While Israel refers to the commemoration of Israeli statehood in 1948 as Israeli Independence Day, Palestinians use the word Nakba, which means catastrophe and refers to Israels forced depopulation of 750,000 Palestinians in 1948 - 1952 and it's ongoing policies of forced dispossession and assault.
This event is free, RSVP required. We will follow Kehilla's Kashrut and in-person Covid protocols.
