LEONARD J. AUBE Executive Director, Annenberg Foundation Leonard J. Aube is the Executive Director of the The Annenberg Foundation, one of the largest family foundations in the United States. He joined the Foundation in 2003 as Managing Director to assist Wallis Annenberg and the Annenberg family in establishing a West Coast presence for the Foundation. In 2009, Leonard oversaw the relocation of the Foundation's headquarters to Century City in Los Angeles from Radnor, PA. The Foundation continues to operate with offices in Los Angeles, Conshohocken, PA. and Washington, DC.
Since inception, the Foundation Directors have authorized over $4.2 billion in grants to more than 2,700 nonprofits in 35 countries, in a wide range of program areas such as education, culture and arts, the environment, animal welfare and nonprofit capacity building. Under the active stewardship of Co-Directors Wallis Annenberg, Lauren Bon, Gregory Annenberg Weingarten and Charles Annenberg Weingarten, the Annenberg Foundation is expanding and redefining its relationship with the communities it serves. In addition to its conventional grantmaking, the Foundation's place-based investments and special initiatives such as Not A Cornfield, the Annenberg Space for Photography, explore, Annenberg Community Beach House, Strawberry Flag and the Wallis Annenberg Performing Arts Center in Beverly Hills, transcend the established portrayal of a family foundation. |
