Here's the menu for our upcoming brunch featuring our friends from Heart & Trotter and Pizza Port Solana Beach that's going on this Sunday. We're super excited about this one, and tickets have been moving so if you're interested we'd suggest getting on it. Here's the menu, with Port Solana brewer Devon Randall's notes on her beers:
Amuse Bouche: Goat cheese pate.
w/ Citra-R-Ama -"7.3%Abv. This has to be the most indulgent IPA I've ever brewed. Super dry, made with super 'it' hops, Citra and Amarillo. These hops are in high demand and hard to get. Brewing an IPA with these hops was a celebration of the new hop contract and their renewed availability. Defines the Citra hop."
Heart & Trotter Breakfast Scrapple: Raspberry and Arugula slaw, Manchego cheese.
w/ Beerhunter Birthday- "4.5%Abv. The collaboration beer with Automatic Brewing and Pizza Port OB started as a mellow session beer. OB won Gold at GABF for this beer under Session Ale. The base beer was put into a Palumbo Winery Red Wine barrel and aged for almost a year on Rainier cherries with sour cultures. The result is an oakey, uniquely fruity, and tart sour beer with a hint of Brettanomyces."
Cheek-Medley Breakfast Chimichanga in rice paper.
Santa Maria Red Rye- "All Columbus-hopped Red Rye IPA. 20% Rye malt and all Columbus hops makes for an interesting spicy rye twist on a red IPA. Juicy, citrusy columbus hops, spicy and woody rye, slightly sweet and restrained Crystal malt."
Grilled Lamb Belly; Naan bread, fried egg, & roasted eggplant.
w/ May the Port be with You- "Imperial Porter 8%Abv. Baker's chocolate, a touch of roast, complex and layered."
Oxtail & Beef Curry with sticky rice.
Calibration Golden Strong- "13.33%ABV. This beer utilizes a strain of yeast said to be similar to Duvel. The simple grain bill and hop profile allow the yeast to come out and dominate with its fruity, pear like esters. Extremely dry fermentation, all the fruity characteristic is due to the yeast."
Pork Sirloin Ramen and bone marrow.
w/ Smoked Chronic- "5.5% ABV. This is a take on the traditional Chronic amber ale, made with Weyerman Beechwood Rauchmalt."
Cinnamon-Apple Funnel cake.
Double Gobble -"5.1%ABV. A special keg of our Cranberry Wheat beer infused a second time with additional cranberry. A traditional American Wheat Beer, made with 50% Red Unmalted wheat, the addition of tart cranberry blends nicely with the smooth and quaffable wheat flavor and mouthfeel."
