Super Secret Super Power
Not everyone with a super power is a super hero. Or even a super villain. Sometimes they're just a waitress at Chi Chis Mexican restaurant trying to get through the dinner rush. Laura Jane's Assistant Manger suggests she shows more cleavage so that she might get more tips, when a surprising and secret super-power unleashes in her. Boiling hot cheese and guacamole fly through the kitchen and in the end, only one of them is left standing.

It's 2020 lock down. Like most quarantine evenings, Kenny is playing World of Warcraft. Casting magic spells to fend off the beguiling N'Zoth. It corrupts and takes mass dominion over minds. Fantasy RPG computer games block out the pandemic world especially politics. But now on the TV, he overhears the POTUS call COVID the kung flu. The crowd laughs. Cheers? OMG, they cheered.
Kenny logs off World of Warcraft. The monster is impossible to defeat.

It's Father's Day. My Dad and the Aunts are coming over for dessert. For the first time, I have a Gay Pride flag hanging proudly on my balcony. Should I take the flag down? Nah, I can't be bothered, they'll never notice. Anyway, we're a family that avoids uncomfortable topics.
