Bellevue Chamber Chorus: Finding Home - A Sense of Belonging

First Congregational Chuch of Bellevue
Bellevue, WA

Sales have ended for this event.

Welcome to a musical and spiritual journey that takes a deeper look at what it means to belong.
In search of home, this program examines our frailty, fear, and isolation in order to expose a uniquely human sense of companionship and belonging. Join us as we re-envision home as not just a place or a group of people, but also home as a state of mind.   Several pieces by todays leading choral composers feature violin, cello, and percussion, and include Eric Whitacre, Ola Gjeilo, Giselle Wyers, Elaine Hagenberg and Latvian composer Eriks Esenvalds.  Come explore a variety of homes from a variety of places, including an African American spiritual, a German quartet by Johannes Brahms, a setting of an African proverb, and a popular song from China.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS: Following current mandates from King County & WA State public health officials, the performers are all vaccinated, and all audience members at this performance must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Proof of vaccination will be required for entry. Additionally, all audience members will be required to wear masks.  Chair seating will be arranged to maintain social distancing; people who live together may group chairs accordingly.
