Singer Jonathan Karrant returns to the stage at Michael Holmes' Purple Room on Saturday, November 27th, 2021 to perform some of his favorite songs from the Great American Songbook. Not only performing songs from the golden age of music, Jonathan also puts his fresh and jazzy twist on songs made popular in the 70's and 80's. Some of the selections for the evening will be from Jonathan's newest album Shadows Fall, which was released this year. It reached # 4 on the iTunes Jazz Charts plus # 2 on the American Community Radio Charts. Jonathans warm, rich voice soulfully wraps around and pulls the listener into the lyric. At the same time you're sure to get a kick out of his charming quick wit and humor.
Jonathan Karrant's album, On and On hit #4 on the Billboard Jazz charts and his album Live hit #2 on the iTunes Jazz Charts. He has received honors throughout the states including; the New York City Jazz Honors, Best Singer for the Bravo California Awards and was named one of the top 12 rising jazz vocalists by Downbeat. A voice, romantic without being cloying, warm but not forced, Jonathan carries songs with an emotional weight that reaches your very soul.
