The International Latino Film Festival presents:

Los Soneros del Tesechoacan / The Sound of the River

dir. Inti Cordera, 2007, Mexico, 73 min.

This visually and musically uplifting documentary explores the tradition of Son Jarocho in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. Young families play music together, dance, sing, build instruments, and teach, working to preserve and pass on the musical wisdom of the aging son musicians who for decades have inhabited the banks of the Tesechoacan river.
