POSTPONED - Participants will be introduced to the world of acting for television commercials. This class will cover both the theoretical and practical aspects of the business. Students will learn about agents, casting directors, the process of commercial auditioning, types of auditions, the casting process, dealing with scripts, wardrobe and commercial call backs. They will also gain knowledge about working on a commercial set and what to expect when they get that first job. The business portion of the commercial acting world will be explored thoroughly: payment and commercial rates, contracts, acting unions, photos and resumes and further training. Workshop participants will have a chance to see themselves on camera through a variety of scripted and non scripted exercises. |
