About Eve's Bayou:
Written and directed by Kasi Lemmons (Harriet), this 1997 film stars Samuel L. Jackson (Sphere, Deep Blue Sea), Lynn Whitfield (A Thin Line Between Love and Hate, Greenleaf), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Birds of Prey, Underground), and Diahann Carroll (Carmen Jones, Julia). The film centers on a Creole-American family in 1960's Louisiana and the lies that tear their family apart when a deep secret, infidelity, and voodoo is introduced.
