Act I takes place in Troy before the Trojan War. Cassandra is given the gift of Prophesy by Apollo but then he curses her so nobody would believe her. Act II takes place in Byzantium before the Turkish invasion. Katarina, a daughter of the Serbian king believes herself possessed by Cassandra and predicts the end of the Byzantine Empire, again she is not believed. Act III takes place in our days in Paris. Cassandra Dupre, a young history teacher, warns of the dangers threatening humanity, but she ends by hoping that the forces of good will vanquish the forces of evil.
