On Tuesday, February 26, 2019, a brand new pop-up piano bar called IMPROMPTU! was set to launch at Main Street Bistro in Guerneville, with SF's Musical Comedy Cabaret Porn Star and Lyricist TOM ORR as MC and pianist-musical director RUSSELL DEASON at the "88s."

Instead that night the banks of the Russian River swelled and the town of Guerneville was flooded, leaving Orr and 3000+ others with no home. Returning to Seattle where he enjoyed early success 22 years ago with his award winning musical parody revue DIRTY LITTLE SHOWTUNES!, a long running smash there and in San Francisco with several runs, Orr started a new life chapter.

Now he is coming back to the Bay Area with a new solo cabaret filled with twists on classic Broadway tunes, THE GREATEST SHOWQUEEN!, for two Sundays only 10/6 & 10/13, at the soon to re-open R3 Hotel in Guerneville and Martuni's in SF. Maestro Russell Deason is in tow to make their debut at last.

Portions of the proceeds at The R3 benefit The Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Grants Fund. The RRSPI "sainted" Orr in 2018 for his philanthropic work and artistic achievement with the name St. Orrpocalypse. He quips, "When Tom Orr is being sainted you know it's the End of the World!"

Winner of three Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle BATCC awards (Best Musical, Best Lyrics & Best Actor), Tom Orr brings his diabolically heavenly wordplay and a uniquely skewed worldview to the forefront with his latest work, a look back at his colorful past and a sneak peek at his bright future, with new material and selections from his prior shows: DLST!, I Feel A Thong Coming On!, A Crass Act!, The Devil Wears Nada!, Aging Bull! and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To His Forearm! Also featured are political parodies from the upcoming THINGS THAT GO TRUMP IN THE NIGHT!

He has been called "The Lost Love Child of Al & Dorothy Parker," is a former theatre critic for The Seattle Times, won kudos for his lyrics for Pimpin'! and Who Killed Stephen Sondheim?, was "Best Cashier" in The Seattle Weekly Readers' Poll, and delighted Bay Area audiences for over fifteen years working with NCTC, 42nd Street Moon, Theatre Rhino, and The Thrillpeddlers in their New Cockettes Renaissance.

Russell Deason is a pianist, vocalist and producer based in San Francisco. He is the Creative Director of the Velvet Variety Cabaret and Executive Director of his company Crushed Velvet Productions. Russell is excited to bring his talents back to Guernville for this premiere event. He is also a regular piano barista at Martuni's in SF and The Alley in Oakland.

Marie Ruzicka is an accomplished actress, director, choreographer, consultant, podcaster (Magickal Land of [Awe]some), author and solo performer: "Why Am I So Happy? An Introvert's Journey to #LivinTheJOMOLife" opens soon.
