Thank you for celebrating the Iron Range Pasty with us! There will also be tickets available at the door if we have enough pasties.

Join us for the first annual Iron Range Pasty Festival, a fundraiser for the Iron Range Partnership for Sustainability. Home-made pasties made from all local ingredients are the stars of the show! $10 buys a pasty, slaw, and a beverage served from 3-7 on Saturday October 5, 2019 at the Mt. Iron Community Center. ($ for a frozen pasty, limit 5) The day will include family activities--a scavenger hunt, rutabaga bowling, Mrs. Rutabaga Head contest, play-doh pasty making for the young ones, music by Sara Softich and Friends, Iron Range storytelling by the Virginia Historical Society, raffles, "People's Choice" pasty award featuring Iron Range pasty makers, Slovenian Button Box music, a DIY Mining photo booth, and s'mores over an open fire. For the adults, a local craft beer garden opens at 6 featuring brews from around the Range. At 7, we'll join in with KAXE's Saturday night call-in trivia show "Green Cheese," also celebrating the pasty and featuring questions about Iron Range history and food traditions.
Vegetarian and gluten-free pasties are available.
