Q121'S UPCOMING SEASON
Quartet121 is planning bigger projects for the 2019-2020 season and in order to make it possible, we need your help!
As an artist-run organization, we rely on private donors to support project essentials, such as travel fees and concert space rentals. This season Quartet121 is planning two programs that we will perform in New York City and Philadelphia. The upcoming season also includes a string quartet seminar at the Banff Centre and visits to the composition departments at Manhattan School of Music and UPenn to workshop new pieces for string quartet.
If you would like to learn about our plans for the upcoming season or make a tax-deductible donation, please visit our Fractured Atlas page at https://fundraising.fracturedatlas.org/quartet121 .

We hope that you become part of our community by purchasing a ticket and joining us for one of these exciting evenings!

ABOUT QUARTET121
Quartet121 is a New York City- and Philadelphia-based string quartet dedicated to the performance of new works. Molly Germer (violin), Julia Jung Un Suh (violin), Lena Vidulich (viola), and Thea Mesirow (cello) met while pursuing their masters degrees in the Contemporary Performance Program (CPP) at Manhattan School of Music. In the quartets official first season they performed a program of contemporary repertoire at Tenri Cultural institute in NYC. Soon after, they performed at the CPP 10th Anniversary Alumni Showcase alongside critically acclaimed ensembles such as MIVOS Quartet, Loadbang, and TAK. They joined singer-songwriter Michelle Zauner in her project Japanese Breakfast for two sold-out shows at Brooklyn Steel, and performed portrait concerts of music by Matt Simon and James Diaz. In 2019 they will visit the Columbia University Music Department, University of Pennsylvania, and the Manhattan School of Music for performances and workshops, and travel to Canada as part of the BANFF Centres Evolution of the String Quartet summer festival.

Program subject to change. Please note that there will be video and audio recording at the event.
