Fairfield Is Beautiful

Chicago, IL

Sales have ended for this event.

A new two-act play with live music featuring an artistically diverse cast of musicians, improvisers, and performance artists.

Tavis, a writer for cutting-edge cultural publication ONLINE Magazine, is assigned to investigate the isolated midwestern town of Fairfield after his editor witnesses bizarre rituals and strangeness with potential while stranded there during an automotive breakdown. Under the guise of writing a piece on the Hammer Boys, Fairfields most destructive DIY noise band, the Chicagoan insinuates himself into the town. Among the eccentrics he meets Delia, a central resident who may be the key to explaining the shaded mystery that surrounds Fairfield. When does tracking a story become betraying a confidence? Whats behind the warehouse on the edge of town? How do you tell the difference between a community and a cult?
