This is an hour-long classical music concert in a private Kiawah home performing works by Bach, Saint-Saens, Faure, Villa-Lobos, Massenet, among others on violins, cellos, clarinet and harp. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and wine reception is included in the "special event" ticket price of $60.00 to benefit the Youth Orchestra of the Lowcountry.
This non-profit honor orchestra was founded 40 years ago and continues to inspire and educate talented youth musicians in the Lowcountry with high level orchestral repertoire. Many alums have gone on to professional music careers, having studied at Curtis Institute of Music, Boston Conservatory, Peabody Conservatory, and the Royal Academy of Music in London. |
