Every year the NMPRA holds a Western Regional Conference.
This year the conference will be hosted by the LAC+USC Med/Peds Department.
Care at the Margins

Join us as we explore how to best care for our country's most vulnerable populations, including, but not limited to, immigrants, homeless individuals, foster children and incarcerated individuals. The conference will include speakers and break out sessions focusing on different aspects of Care at the Margins. Join us to learn how we as physicians can not only provide more excellent patient care but also how we can best advocate for different patient populations across the age spectrum during these dynamic times.
There will also be a section for oral and poster presentations by medical students and residents. We encourage anyone with projects, case vignettes or research pertaining to Care at the Margins or other significant Med/Peds issues to submit an abstract for this section. Abstracts will be reviewed and selected participants will be asked to present at the conference. Two abstracts will be selected to provide oral presentations and others will be selected for poster presentation.
The conference will also allow for significant networking within the Western Regional Med/Peds community. Come meet residents and faculty from other institutions and learn about how to build a career in Med/Peds.
