Is mental toughness a trait that some just have, and other do not? Or is it a skill that can be trained, and if so, how do you go about training your mental strength?

In this class, we will break down the concept of "Mental Toughness", and challenge common misconceptions. Participants will get the chance to examine aspects of their own mental strength using evidence based methods. We'll identify focus areas to work on, as well as look at practical tools to use!

Maurine Filip's Bio:
In a derby context, Maurine is a jammer on the Stockholm Roller Derby Allstars, a coach, an official, and a board member of the Swedish national skating association, as well as having over 20 years of experience in sports. For a day job, she is a practicing psychologist, with specific interest in sports- and performance psychology. She is excited to join EDC once again, and can't wait to share her thoughts with you, and to hear your stories!
