Improv comedy inspired by local music.
Every month, a different local musician performs their original music. After listening closely, the comedians from local improv groupThe Local Music Scenethen improvise comedic scenes based on the lyrics.
The Local Music Sceneis:Sarah Arnold,Laura Berger,Breanna Cecile,Liz Council,Jeff Gyllen,Nathan Kelly,Kelsey McGregor,Erik Ostrom, Shea Roberts,Will Roberts,andPhilip Simondet.
The Local Music Scene has trained and performed at various local improv theaters, including The Brave New Workshop, ComedySportz Twin Cities, HUGE Theater and Jesters.
All of them either ARE local musicians or enjoy local music. At the VERY least, theyve heard the term "local music.
Singer of sad songs on a happy instrument!! Katy has been described as One of the Twin Cities most beloved folky singer/songwriters. - Star Tribune, Chris Riemenschneider. She was born and raised in London, UK, but in the past dozen or so years has established herself as one of the Twin Cities busiest musicians, combining catchy pop with Americana twang.
