The church of St James' and St Basil's church boasts a spectacular organ that has been restored to its full glory thanks to a generous HLF grant.
In this concert celebrating the organ and our new choir, Mike Dutton will play the remarkable concerto for organ by Francis Poulenc, with an orchestra formed for the occasion.
J's and B's once had a choir that eventually evolved into the Newcastle Choral Society. Happily J's & B's Singers is back, singing Haydn's compact but masterful 'Little Organ Mass' and a range of other works by Mozart, Mendelssohn and others.
