The Classical Contemporary Ballet Theatre (CCBT), a new innovative professional ballet company based in New Haven Connecticut and New York City. CCBT will kick off its 2012 -2013 season with Metamorphosis. This creative and high-energy production will feature an evening of professional ballet that explores both classical and contemporary repertory with some surprises. The program features excerpts of the beloved classic Les Sylphides, a work in which a poet dances with ghostly sylphs in a forest, originally choreographed in 1909 by Michel Fokine, with music by Frédéric Chopin; Scent of love, a romantic duet that explores the idea of relationship losing passion set to music by Michael Nyman; the Dying Swan set to music by Camille Saint-Saëns's. "Simply Classical" will also feature four new works with dazzling costumes.
