Welcome to the 9th edition of the OBA Picker's Fest and our third year at the Zigzag Mountain Farm. Last year was a complete blast! Spend the weekend with us listening or playing music with old friends and new ones.
Bring your mandolin, guitar, fiddle, dobro, ukulele or whatever makes great bluegrass music, or just hang out and enjoy the Farm and being up at the mountain with music all over the place.
An open mic is held on Friday and Saturday nights, hosted by Jim Miernyk.
We also offer workshops on Saturday in most instruments with great instructors.
The Zigzag Mountain Farm is a beautiful 50 acre mountain paradise with the original homestead farmhouse, wood fired hot tub, camp sites in the woods, space for RVs (self- contained), organic garden and trees to play under. And it's only an hours drive from Portland.
The action begins on Friday afternoon, August 26, whenever you get there to set up your campsite. Breakfast from the garden is just $7.
Because of the narrow mountain roads, parking long RVs is difficult and sadly, we can't accommodate RVs longer than about 20'.
The Old Time Campout is the following weekend, so if you want to go to both events, the Farm is making a super deal for camping and yurt rental for the week in between. For more information, ask Jim or Britta while you're at the farm this weekend.
