Join us as we celebrate 35 years of anarchic comedy from The Comic Strip Alexei Sayle, Ade Edmondson, Dawn French, Jennifer Saunders, Nigel Planer, Keith Allen, Robbie Coltrane and of course, the endlessly missed genius that was Rik Mayall.
The great Peter Richardson mastermind behind one of the greatest movements in British comedy history will be here in Bath to discuss the past, present and future of The Comic Strip with local comedy historian Jem Roberts, and to receive this year's Bath Plug Award for over 30 years of fooling around with and hordes of other comic legends.
Kicking off with the cinema debut of the brilliant latest Comic Strip outing, tabloid hacking satire Red Top starring Maxine Peake, Harry Enfield and Stephen Mangan, the Q&;A with Peter Richardson will then be followed by a special celebration of 30 years of The Comic Strip Presents presented on the big screen, with appearances from The Strike, The Bullshitters, Five Go Mad and of course, the worst heavy metal band in the world Bad News!
