Karen Armstrong, a provocative, original thinker on the role of religion in the modern world, will appear at Wasatch Presbyterian Church in a special fundraising event for the Charter for Compassion International. Karen Armstrong has written more than 20 books on faith and the major religions, studying what Islam, Judaism and Christianity have in common, and how faiths shapes world history and drives current events. Her talk will center on the core tenants of compassion, and the money raised through this event will benefit the work of the Charter of Compassion, an organization of which she helped found following her TED prize talk on compassion. |
