Lee Strasberg was an American actor, director and acting teacher. Strasberg is considered the "father" of method acting in America. He trained several generations of theatre and film's most illustrious talents, including Barbra Streisand, Anne Bancroft, Dustin Hoffman, Montgomery Clift, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Jane Fonda, Julie Harris, Paul Newman, Ellen Burstyn, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.
This Method trains actors to use their imagination, sense and emotions to conceive of characters with unique and original behavior, creating performances grounded in the human truth of the moment. |
