The Experience, Strength and Hope Award is given to well-known individuals who have written courageous and honest memoirs about their journey from addiction to recovery. Past honorees include astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Academy Award winning actor Louis Gossett, Jr., musician John Taylor, author of the memoir In the Pleasure Groove: Love, Death & Duran Duran, and Carrie White for her Hollywood/Recovery memoir, Upper Cut.
This year's honoree: Actor/Author Joe Pantoliano a.k.a. Joey Pants.
