Aligning Minds is proud to present the "WAVEFORMS 2.0" series, a month long residency at the Asheville Music Hall every Saturday in October along with a final closing event in November for a total of 6 shows. Aligning Minds will be Co-headlining each night along with some of their favorite artists, co-collaborators, and friends. The WAVEFORMS series is focused on bringing top notch production, innovative aesthetics and forward thinking electronic music to the Asheville music scene on a weekly basis.

J:Kenzo is the leading member of a new wave of artists on pioneering Dubstep label Tempa, as well as the founder of the influential Artikal Music UK imprint. Since 2008 he has cemented himself knee deep in the underground music scene with his signature minimalistic sound of Dub, Jungle and Techno.

Renowned for his DJ skills which have seen him tour all over the world, from Japan to Australia, to Dubai to North America and all over Europe, J:Kenzo also hosts a monthly show on London's Rinse FM showcasing his taste in everything underground.

His self titled debut album was released in September 2012 on the Tempa label with great anticipation, some say providing the antidote to the then overly brash commercial Dubstep sound. Deep underground tones, stripped back beats, smoky atmospherics with haunting keys and melodies providing the flavour throughout.

Kenzo's output has been consistent with releases and features on classic labels such as Metalheadz and Exit Records as well as a string of singles and EP's for foundational dubstep label Tempa.

Sleeper has spent the last year or so establishing himself as one of the most consistent go-to producers within dubstep, but has not used this as an excuse to rest on his laurels and continues to challenge himself both in terms of creative direction and production technique. Expect twisted Reese basslines being draped over driving dub-techno hybrid drums and all swamped with dark atmospherics. His Artikal Records release "Ritual / Tidal" is a hulking mass of tribal ferocity; frantic atmospheres tortured by Sleeper's sizzling leads give way to stampeding sub bass swagger and concussive war drums.

Exercising dub fundamentals; he introduces tight, swiftly syncopated extra percussion on top of thuggish half-step rhythms, slyly building incredible kinetic energy with intensely delicate finesse. With support from Mala, Youngsta & J:Kenzo

Thelem is one of the brightest talents within the scene today. His forward thinking production style sets the mood with a mixture of Techno, Grime and Dub.

Thelem's first release for Artikal Music (ARTKL010) dropped in November 2013 and featured 3 stunning tracks Grainform, Petrichor and Synthetic Artifacts.

His brand new project 'Haunted Harmonics EP' (ARTKL013) is scheduled for release on 28th April 2014.

Donnie Valdez aka EshOne enters the Artikal roster as one of North America's leading Dubstep producers. Over the years EshOne has carved out his unique style using organic elements to provide the backdrop for his productions.

His first instalment for Artikal Music release in February 2014 was the massive 'Petroglyphs EP'.

The EP included the tribal stomper 'Petroglyphs', 'Number Nine', 'Hot Sauce' and the hypnotic 'Watchful Eye'.

Aligning Minds is the unique and captivating collaboration of two producers using sound to achieve a mutual vision. Ethereal and dubby, uplifting and haunting, their music winds its way through the imaginative souls of its listeners, offering a deep exploration of subsonic mood and emotional atmosphere. Focused on unifying electronic music through diverse influence, their sound fuses elements of many genres like downtempo, dubstep, breakbeat and idm - but without the need for formulaic restrictions.

Kristi has immersed herself in a lifetime of dance and performance art. From ballet, hip-hop, and tap dance to flamenco, hula, and afro-brazilian. Kristi enjoys studying the full spectrum of human expression through dance. She has studied Thai Classical Dance in Bangkok and is deeply grateful to be studying Odissi with Guru Sanchita Bhattacharya from India. She is also recently begun learning Bharatnatyam from Thessaly Chance in Asheville, NC. Kristi has been performing her own unique flavor of fusion bellydance for the past 10 years and has performed with artists such as: Desert Dwellers, Kayla Scintilla, Govinda, Random Rab, Aligning Minds, Raquy and the Cavemen, Nataraj,and many others.
