This is the original Art of the Pie hands-on 5-hour workshop coming for the first time to New York City!
Included in each workshop class are all ingredients, recipes, yummy snack and more. You will learn the lifetime skill of how to make the Kate's Art of the Pie Crust, seasonal fruit filling, pie lore plus so much more! Each student will finish class with a pie hot from the oven or ready to bake at home.
Since 2006, Kate McDermott, the creator and founder of Art of the Pie, has taught the time-honored craft of pie making to thousands. One of the most highly sought-after culinary instructors in the Northwest and nationally, Kate is widely acknowledged as one of the best makers of pie ever.
Kate has received high praise from Dorie Greenspan, Elise Bauer (Simply Recipes), Ruth Reichl, and many others and has been featured in "Saveur" Magazine's Top 100 Issue, the Washington Post, USA Today and the New York Times.
She teaches nationally and internationally and has been written about in numerous books, magazines & blogs by award winning authors. Always friendly, fun, and down-to-earth, Kate, a practitioner of kindness, aspires to pass on the craft of pie-making to as many as she can. Kate will show you how to fall in love with pie.
