Film Festival Highlights Local Aspiring Filmmakers & Actors
Lights! Camera! Action! The New England Film Academy is proud to present, in association with St. Lawrence Arts, an evening of film that spotlights the movies of the Academy. Join us for a series of short films spanning the last eight summers of great work by our aspiring filmmakers and actors. It will be an entertaining night filled with laughs, giveaways and fun!
The New England Film Academy, based in the Greater Portland area, offers hands-on learning experiences in the world of filmmaking that gives campers a chance to express themselves both in front of the camera as actors or behind the scenes as directors, producers, writers and more as they learn first-hand how movies are created and made into featured films.
Through these filmmaking efforts participants learn team-building, conflict resolution, problem solving and inter-personal skills while building their own selfconfidence and expression in a fun, creative and supportive environment. These all add up to practical and applicable life-long lessons that carry over to school and home activities.
And all proceeds will benefit the benefit the New England Film Academy Scholarship Fund! |
