We'll lead you into the infamous Barbary Coast. Walk where Shanghai Kelly kidnapped sailors, Learn about the Bull Run Saloon, the toughest bar in San Francisco, how a whiskey warehouse saved Jackson Square from the 1906 Earthquake.the legendary Hippodrone and the Bella Union Theatre. The tour starts 1st and 3rd Wednesday nights each month at 7:30PM at Cafe Prague, 424 Merchant Street, San Francisco
Crooks Tours are unique night time walking tours in which San Francisco's notorious history is brough to life by noted crime historian Paul Drexler, accompanied by historic images and videos which are projected on buildings.
Paul Drexler, who created and leads the tours is the Director of Crooks Tour and has written extensively on San Francisco crime history. He also designed and co-produced the award winning "SFPD Homicide" CD-ROM game which has been used to teach police procedures and accident investigations. He has appeared on the Investigation Discovery Network show " Deadly Women" as an expert on San Francisco murderesses. |
