Orientation and Monitor Training

All new members are encouraged to attend this free orientation session to get acquainted with the Industries facilities. The first half hour will be a tour of the Printshop, Labs, and Media Arts Lab in the Mercantile Building. We'll go over general shop practices, safety/security issues, discuss membership options, and answer any questions you have. If you are interested in Monitor Membership, stick around for the second half of the orientation, in which we'll train you on various volunteer tasks. Monitor members exchange 12 hours of volunteer time per month for a reduced monthly membership rate ($40/mo. for eight blocks of time per month).
This orientation is also free and open to non-members, prospective members, and anyone interested in learning more about AS220 Industries.
GETTING HERE:
AS220 Industries is located in the Mercantile Building on Washington St. in downtown Providence. The entrance is in the back of the building on Lucie Way (Martha St. according to GPS/computers). Ring the doorbell to either the Labs or Printshop and someone will let you in! |
