Understanding Infant Sleep For Professionals

The 2100 Building
Seattle, WA

Sales have ended for this event.

This training is offered by Perinatal Support Washington, a state-wide non-profit dedicated to lifting the veil on perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

Sleep deprivation is a well documented risk factor for perinatal mood
and anxiety disorders.  Sleep can be an effective preventative measure
as well as a treatment for mental health symptoms in new parents. How
do we help clients improve their babys sleep while keeping mental
health in mind?  What impact can parents have on their infants sleep?
What is normal sleep behavior, and when is referral and intervention
appropriate?

Join us for a presentation and discussion on all things sleep!  Macall
Gordon, MA has a Masters in psychology, with a background in infant
mental health and infant sleep research. She is a certified gentle
sleep coach and senior lecturer at Antioch University in Seattle.

This presentation is appropriate for anyone who works with new
parents- therapists, midwives, OBs, pediatricians, RNs, doulas, lactation
consultants,  home visitors, case managers, and more.
