Pediatricians have many talents. Ken is a dear friend and a wonderful pediatrician, and he does a moving and delightful cabaret show with songs and stories about families and growing up, and turning into yourself. - Perri Klass, MD, New York Times columnist
Many of our earliest memories are of our mother singing to us. In this show, Ken Haller use those songs to tell the story of growing up Irish Catholic on Long Island in the 1960s, of learning lessons from his mom and dad about how to take care of kids, and of refining and passing those lessons on to the parents and children he see every day in his pediatric practice. Described as "tender, loving, hilarious," join Ken and his wonderful accompanist, Tom Shaw, for 65 minutes for "Mama's Boy," a very special evening of stories and songs.
PLEASE NOTE: Doors open 6:30, and you may enjoy dinner and drinks before and during the show. There is a $20 drink/food minimum per person.*

*I'm gotten some questions about the $20 food/drink cover. It is confusing, but I'm required to put this on the ticketing site. It really is an aggregate $20/person food/drink cover for the entire audience. For example, if there are 100 people there, there is a $2000 minimum food/drink service. Now, some people are going to have a couple of glasses of wine which would be about $30, others might have a glass of Sprite which would be $6, others might have dinner and a couple of drinks at about $60, while still others might have nothing. It is an average of the food/drink service over the entire room. While I have certainly found that my audience enjoys the show MUCH more after they've had a glass of wine - or two - please know that there is actually no person-by-person requirement for that service. |
