Atomic City Belly Dance is proud to present: Ami Amore' in the Atomic City!
About Ami:
Ami Amore' is a lifelong artist. She discovered belly dance in 1999. Her style is ever changing and currently borders on the styling of dark fusion, hip hop, and cabaret.
Even though Ami has been teaching belly dance since 2006, she constantly continues her belly dance education through taking workshops in all styles around the country, because she believes one should never stop learning.
Ami currently boasts two troupes- Exotic Rythms ( started in 2006) and mosaic (2012). She teaches 9 classes per week, 6 dance and 3 yoga.
Workshops:
9am to 10am registration/sign in
10am to 11:30AM Elemental Combos
Call the corners! Earth! Air! Fire! Water!
Learn 4 combos embracing and embodying the elements with moves influenced and channeling these elements as well as the elemental intention behind these combos and their elements.
11:30am to 12:30pm Lunch
12:30pm to 2pm Bellydancers Cookbook- Vol. I - Signature moves and combinations creation
This is a fun and hands on workshop in which we start out with a couple bellydance inspired ice breakers to loosen you up and get you moving & laughing. Then, I will share with you the recipe for creating new and interesting moves. I have always had a knack for uninhibited brain useage, thinking outside the box and creating new moves (well, at least new to me) on the fly. I will demo a couple of my signature moves, talking about how I came up with that move and then we will all work to create our own signature move. Well learn the ingredients that go into interesting and creative combination creation. Then we will work to create combinations in small groups using the ingredients I give you. Ok for any style and all levels of bellydancers, prereq is the desire to create and expand.
