Shock. Bewilderment. Rapture. Awe. The Kiswahili word "SHANGAA" can mean any of these things. Or all of them at once.
Join us for an eclectic festival of devised theatre inspired by a month spent working and creating beside the diverse peoples of Tanzania. From the twisting streets of Zanzibar to the sweeping plains of the Serengeti, four casts of DAT artists seek to find and share the shangaa of todays East Africa.
NOTE: All evening performances begin at 8pm, but please join us at 7:30 for a glass of wine and, or perhaps a shot of Tanzanian liquor! |
