Joe McGinty and Andrea Diaz formed "The Duchess And The Fox" to explore the world of "cabaret noir". The Duchess and The Fox features McGinty's piano compositions and Diaz' lyrics and sultry, soulful vocals.
Made from the minds of downtown music legend, Joe Mcginty ( Loser's Lounge,
Psychedelic Furs) and indie up and comer, Andrea Diaz ( Superhuman
Happiness), the Duchess and the Fox makes sensual music for lovers,
dreamers, and those undone by nostalgia for what once was. Ms. Diaz notes,
"The lyrics and melody bloom easily from the elegant piano progressions Joe McGinty writes.
At first it was daunting to work with someone who has played with so many people--
everyone from the Ramones to Nada Surf. Then I realized we were both introverts at heart who
want the world to be as beautiful as possible. " |
