With lyrics by Tim Rice and music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Jesus Christ Superstar is loosely based on the Gospel's account of the last week in the life of Jesus of Nazareth, beginning with his arrival into Jerusalem and the ending with the Crucifixion. Here, the myth is stripped from the man to reveal an all-too-human soul, troubled and doubting those closest to him, the whims of those who judge him, the heartache of a woman who loves him and the motives of the man who ultimately betrays him. With songs such as "Everything's Alright" to "I Don't Know How To Love Him" this profound musical is directed by Ed Trout.
THEATER INFORMATION
The lobby opens one hour prior to show time. The Footlite Pub serves beer and wine and our Concession Stand offers soft drinks, popcorn and candy. We accept credit cards and cash, but cannot accept $100 bills. Thirty minutes prior to curtain, a member of the American Theatre Organ Society entertains on our 1925 Page pipe organ. Free parking is available in our lot accessible from New Jersey Street. Enjoy the show! |
