Thank you so much for supporting to benefit the Family Services of Westchester's Camp Viva, a unique year-round program for children and families in Westchester County infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.

Westchester native and playwright Charles Curtis to partner with the City of Mount Vernon to locally premiere stage play, Like Peeling an Onion on World AIDS Day, December 1, 2015, at the Rev. Shelton E. Doles Community Center Theater located at 250 South 6th Avenue, Mount Vernon. Proceeds to be used to benefit the Family Services of Westchester's Camp Viva, a unique year-round program for children and families in Westchester County infected or affected by HIV/AIDS.

Like Peeling an Onion weaves a story of secrets about the life of David Greene, recently deceased high school assistant principal, and how even a person's closest family and friends may not know who a person really is. As his family and friends come to box up things of his life, they each deal with their grief in their own way. In the end, they each realize they have more questions about his life than his death. This show speaks of the secrets we try to hide, and how in death, we have no more room for the secrets. Like Peeling an Onion proves that while dead men tell no tales, their secrets do.
